In the age of streaming services, movie watchers are turning to Netflix, Hulu and Disney Plus for their holiday movies. While this holiday season will be a little different because of COVID-19, you can still get in the Holiday spirit from your living room. Check out these must watch Netflix movies to get you in a merry mood.


1. Santa Girl

If you were a fan of Disney Channel, this movie will have a familiar face. Jennifer Stone, AKA Harper from Wizard's of Waverly Place, plays Cassie Claus, the daughter of Santa. In this film, Cassie travels to the normal world to experience a regular teenage life before following in her father's footsteps. This movie is the perfect holiday/coming of age/teen romance movie.


2. The Knight Before Christmas

Once Upon a Time, but make it Christmas. In this movie, Sir Cole, a 14th century knight, finds himself in modern day Ohio, where he meets Brooke, a science teacher who does not believe in love. Looking for a sappy Christmas romance movie to watch with your significant other? This is your movie.


3. Holidate

In this holiday rom-com, two strangers agree to be each others platonic holiday dates throughout the year. Like, "No Strings Attached", but for the Holidays. It's the perfect feel good movie, and it's sure to make you laugh.


4. The Princess Switch & The Princess Switch: Switched Again

A baker from Chicago switches places with the duchess of Montenaro, who looks exactly like her. But, while switched the find love in each other's lives. The sequel follows their new lives. These movies feel like Hallmark Christmas movies, but better.


5. A New York Christmas Wedding

Tired of seeing the same white, heterosexual couple in every Holiday movie? This LGBTQ Holiday drama, is the perfect holiday watch. In this film, an angel shows a young bride what her life would have been like if she followed her feelings for her best friend. This movie keeps the traditional Holiday movie theme, but adds inclusivity, which is what the Holidays are all about.
